Chisel Construction is a multi-disciplinary team of building professionals who are dedicated to creating exquisite homes and interiors to a very high standard. We helped them to look as good as the homes they create.

The insight

With an impressive portfolio of projects to show off matched by a driving ambition to do more, founder Duncan Watt asked us to help him build a brand to elevate his business and communicate the quality of Chisel’s service in a unique and distinctive way.

Specialising in high-end and period-style buildings, which require a highly considered approach, an understanding of scale and proportion, and the utmost attention to detail, it was important to demonstrate Chisel's bespoke approach in every touchpoint for the brand.

The challenge

The biggest challenge thrown down by Duncan was to create a brand that clearly stood out from what you would expect from the construction sector, whilst retaining an element of traditional buildings that are Chisel's bread and butter.

Our approach

We approached the project from the basis of developing a close relationship with the founder of the business, Duncan Watt and really understanding his long-term vision. By taking the time to investigate the nuances of Chisel’s target audience, we were able to design a suite of unique, classical visuals to capture the quality and craft at the heart of Chisel - which we then rolled out across all brand touchpoints including stationery, van livery, website and launch material.

The result

The branding process allowed the founder, Duncan, the opportunity to set the direction for this exciting chapter in their story with confidence. Chisel now has a brand toolkit and guidelines to work within to apply the brand consistently across all of it's marketing channels.
